2009 Annual RetreatWhat Producers Wants and Alternatives to Festivals

PRO SIG Winter Retreat There are two items on the agenda: 1) discussions about what producers and organizers (whether they are members of the Producers & Organizers Special Interest Group or not) want from the PRO-SIG and the National Storytelling Network and 2) alternatives to Festivals and what it will take to survive/prosper in the "downturn economy." There is still time to reserve your space!! $180 per person (includes breakfast) Pricing is for three nights with 12 people participating-3 reservations remain. Cost for transportation to New Orleans and other meals is not included in the $180 reservation. We will be staying at the Banana Courtyard/Plantation Compound – 2600 block of Charters at Franklin. We have reserved three adjoining dwellings around a pool and courtyard with a planned agenda of discussions and working groups during the day and explorations of New Orleans culture Friday and Saturday nights. Once all the 12 compound slots are filled, additional housing will be booked at the B & B.
